Email automatic replies
The autoreply option for email is very often used, particularly in business messages. Proper Netiquette greatly encourages this practice. Some important message might go unanswered within a reasonable timeframe if this feature is not employed when the intended recipient will be unavailable for a day or longer. The following are basic elements which should be included in all business autoreplies:
Time of absence/return
Whether other key personnel are also out
Assurances of a prompt reply upon one’s return
Superfluous information should not be included such as what the absence is or where the addressee will be. The following is a good sample of a good autoreply:From: Paul Babicki [firstname.lastname@example.org]
